I know it has been a while, but I have a whole bunch of new pictures to share with you.
I was taking my five rolls of film to get developed one day when I realized that I
could buy a scanner with all of the money I have been spending getting this stuff
developed on disk. That did it, I was off looking for a scanner. Well, I
bought one a week ago and I finally have some updates for you.
Last fall was beautiful! I took some pictures of the trees changing colors. Some of these were taken on our street by our apartment and some others were taken by Mulnomah Falls when my aunt and cousin came for a visit.
We also went hunting last fall. Bill didn't shoot anything, but we had a whole lot of fun! Bill had to go to Las Vegas on business the last week of hunting season. Of course, that was the weekend that the deer were out. Len saved some deer meat for us - boy was it good!
It snowed in Hillsboro this winter. There were two occassions where we got snow. The first time it snowed and went away quickly. The second time, there was snow everywhere. We couldn't go to work for a couple of days. It was beautiful though.
My friend Kevin (who also runs a great Chinese restaurant) took me Salmon fishing this winter. We were a little late in the season and most of the fish were dying. We had fun though. There were so many fish to see - it was amazing! Shortly after that, Len took me Steelhead fishing in the Lyre river. That was a fun trip. I managed to hook a Chum Salmon, which I had to throw back. Steelhead are fun fish to try and catch. On a subsequent trip, Len caught a 10 pounder on his second cast. The rest of us didn't even see a fish the rest of the day.
Bill's parents came up for Christmas. Actually, it was for Thanksgiving, but we celebrated Christmas anyway. On the Christmas, we actually went to Washington and spent a couple of days with Karen's aunt and uncle.
Unlike last year, Karen got a birthday cake this year. In fact, she got two! We also moved into our new house just before her birthday. Can you believe that I don't have any pictures of it? I took some videos but I haven't got them on the PC yet.
We had a cat for about a week, then Karen's aunt Jan came over and we gave it to her. It was cute, but it didn't really like me!
I went to Florida for WinHEC in March. While was there I stopped by the Kennedy Space Center. It was neat to be able to finally see all of the things that the guys from Grumman had been talking about all these years. Very impressive!
Our niece Nicole came for a visit in April. She was a riot. We took her all over the place. One of the best places we went to was the Olympic Game Farm in Sequim.
Of course, I have more pictures of animals and stuff including some deer we saw in our backyard. There are also some great scenery pictures from Washington..
We are getting ready for another trip to Neah Bay. If you recall, that is my favorite fishing spot. We will try and beat Helen's record for the biggest fish this year!
